Zack Geist has lived a unique and dichotomous life that embodies the archetypal hero’s journey.  He was born in the Bay Area as the first generation of Russian immigrants who had fled their country during the soviet revolution. 

When he was eight years old, his mother and step father moved to the ghetto of Hayward, where they were one of a few white families amidst section-8 homes and projects. 

The years following were rampant with violence in and outside the home, and led to living in group homes, spending time in juvenile hall and a mental institution, and dropping out of high school after 10th grade to take the high school proficiency test to get his diploma. 

In order to survive and get out of the ‘hood’, he dove into the world of money and business where he worked his way up in door-to-door sales, and started multiple companies and at one point was running 18 offices with over 500 employees. 

By the age of 27 he had made over 10 million dollars in revenue, but due to a lack of mentorship and financial education, he lost it all multiple times. He understood the hustle but did not understand the financial game. 

During this time he also struggled with extreme addictions, anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, and insomnia. A series of events, including the total collapse of his body, caused him to hit the illusive “rock bottom” and then everything began to shift. 

With this shift, his story transformed to one of miracles and deep healing. He began movement therapies such as Ecstatic dance and Feldenkrais that brought dormant emotions and memories to the surface. He dove into many types of psychological therapies, including medically assisted psychedelic medicine journeys that transformed him from the inside out. 

He co-created a healthy partnership with his now fiancé, Madeleine, which provided a stable foundation for this healing to take place. A large community formed around him through his businesses, Ecstatic Dance and Student Loan Tutor, and became a beacon of hope and healing for many people. 

He then moved to Hawaii, and purchased an 86 acre land and is in the process of creating a space for healing and growth for the earth, animal kin, humans, and our relationship to the divine. 

Zack is an ardent reader of a variety of works, which he shares through dialogue in his podcast, touching some of his most heartfelt subjects including- dreamwork, trauma healing, regenerative agriculture, veganism and compassionate lifestyle, ceremony and ritual, holistic finance, nonviolent communication, and more. 

Zack’s multitude of life experiences, both magnificent and challenging, have awakened him to his eternal soul and directed his life’s mission to creating as close to “heaven on earth” as humanely possible to lead people to deeper connection and embodied remembrance. 

It is his hope that through his creation, he can bring other wounded healers together for the healing of themselves, others and all our relations.
